The Young Democrats of America (YDA) is the largest youth-led, partisan political organization in the nation. The Young Democrats of America mobilizes young people under the age of 36 to participate in the electoral process to elect Democrats, influence the ideals of the Democratic Party, advocate for progressive issues, and train the next generation of progressive leaders.

Applications for appointments to a number of Administrative Officers positions along with Chairs, Vice Chairs, Secretaries of Committee, and Regional Appointments for the 2023-2025 biennium are now open. Information about Regional and National Appointments can be found below:
Regional Appointment Information
<aside> 🔶 Note about the process for Regional Appointments: The Vice President for each region will make the various regional appointments. Applicants will be considered from any chartered unit within each region, and applications will be accepted until August 21, 2023. Each YDA region appoints two representatives of differing gender identities to the Meetings and Site Selection Committee, Diversity and Outreach Committee, and Judicial Council. Additionally, each region will be appointed the following positions:

Regional Organizing and Campaigns Director
Regional Chapter Building Director
Regional Communications Director

National Appointment Information
<aside> đź”· Note about the process for National Appointments: Appointments are made by YDA President Quentin Wathum-Ocama with the advice and consent of all of the Executive Committee and are subject to the approval of the National Committee. Please consider applying for a position or promoting other active young Democrats in your state or territory to consider applying. The application will be open until 11:59 PM CST on August 21st. Once your application is submitted, we will contact you with more information about the next steps. It is the goal of the Young Democrats of America to announce all of our appointments between July 29th and September 14th.
Please note that from July 29th onwards, positions will be filled on an ongoing basis by the President and the Executive Committee, meaning that some positions may be filled and no longer available before August 21st.

Committee Information
The Young Democrats of America four Committees that a Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary lead:
<aside> đź’ Committees: YDA has a Standing Committee on Diversity & Outreach Committee, Meetings and Site Selection, Resolutions, and Rules. Each chartered unit can send one delegate to these committees to be their voting representative.

Additionally, the Judicial Council is also led by a Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary with the council's membership elected at the regional level. All official work of Committees and the Judicial Council are forwarded in the form of a “Report” to the representatives of the National Committee for approval.
